melaleuca make Sol-U-Mel, it will remove chewing gum, glues, and playdoh, even dried nail polish off of polished wood!( without damaging the surface! true..)
amongst other ikky items.
you did,nt say what the exterior of the bag is..but i assume? a hard surface? like leather/vinyl? is the lining sewn in? for info on where and how to get it email me.
The problem is that you can not use water because it will leave a water mark that will be permanent on the silk. Try using cornstarch, salt, baby powder or baking soda first to see whether any of those can absorb the stain. If that doesn’t work, then use dry carpet cleaning granules like Resolve or Capture rubbing with a terry towel over the surface of the stains. This will not damage the silk fiber and removes most stains.
