Is there any special feature on a Louis Vuitton handbag to tell whether or not it is authentic or fake?

The best thing to do is go to a department store that sells real Louis Vuitton and compare yours with them. You have to see a real designer bag to compare.

On the handle where there is stitching there should only be 5 stitches - not 6. If it has 6 it’s fake.
The LV fabric should be continuous - the fabric should not be cut on the bottom of the purse.
That’s just a few things I know about.

Most high end designers label their products with serial numbers underneath the bag. A lot also give authenticity cards with their products and a storage bag with the name on it. Also depends on the price you paid for it that can tell you a lot. Ebay is a great place for buying mirror or AAA+ replicas being sold as authentic.
I have already busted many sellers for selling Prada as authentic but it was a replica. You have to beware if the price sounded to good to be true it probably was.
High end designers do not dropship, wholesale to public only licensend resellers, and they dont normally place their items on auctions. If you bought from someone who had numerous bags listed you can bet they bought replicas and sold them as authentic.
If you find you got a replica and it was advertised as authentic you can get your money back if you used paypal.

The print whould be continuous into the seam most fakes are printed after being sewn up. you should know by the colouring of the bag as well and the quality of the leather. the finishings on the bags are another big give away. also there should be a plaque or serial number inside the bag. check the LV Card and dustbag, these too should be high quality this is an area most fake vendors forget to make effort.
